    Cool site to create free 30 second videos from your photos (upload or pull in from another photo site - Flickr). Add your own music or select from the site. Your videos then can be downloaded, added to a third party site, or left on Animoto. The end product looks like a movie trailer.

    A collection of 6,288 images from smithsonianimages.si.edu which appear to be overwhelmingly in the public domain. These images are from the various Smithsonian exhibits and are supposedly available in the public domain (read their memo).
