    Last week Project Tomorrow launched "Speak Up 2008," a nationwide survey on 21st century education. This year's survey is open in students, teachers, parents, and educators, and includes new questions related to Web 2.0 and educational technologies. Participation open until Dec. 19.

    National Assessment of Educational Progress (NAEP), aka the Nation's Report Card, plans to add a tech literacy component to its 2012 exam. WestEd, a San Francisco-based educational research agency, is compiling framework and recommendations for the assessment.
