    Grace Poli is the Media Specialist at the José Martí Middle School in Union City, New Jersey. Grace holds a B.A. in History with K-8 Certification, an M.A. in Urban Education and certificates in K-8, ESL, and Media Specialist. She is currently pursuing her Supervisors & Administrators certificates. She has worked in Union City School District as a humanities teacher, administrative intern, and media specialist since 2000.

    TalkShoe is a service that enables anyone to easily create, join, or listen to Live Interactive Discussions, Conversations, Podcasts and Audioblogs. These hosted Talkcasts can be discussions, conversations, talk shows and podcasts. Recorded Talkcasts can be listened to, downloaded, or subscribed to.     Gcast is run by the same people that run GarageBand.com. Our goal with GarageBand is to redefine how music is discovered and promoted. Our goal with Gcast is to make personal broadcasting simple. In pursuing these goals we hope to democratize both music and media.

    Gabcast.com is a podcasting and audioblogging platform that offers an easy way to create and distribute audio content. Most people will use a touch-tone telephone to make their recordings but we also provide worldwide access to the service through VoIP. Once you have made a recording and have published it, a newsfeed is immediately and automatically updated to alert subscribers to your channel.

    This is a pretty amazing tool. Simply copy a bunch of text and paste it into a box, click "Create mp3," and your text is translated into a speech audio file almost instantly. I pasted a paragraph from an academic paper and the results were flawless. Try it!
